If you have been around the blog for a while then you probably know that I am a big proponent of self care. Self care is one of the most important things you can do for yourself because taking care of yourself should always be a priority. If we don’t take the time out of the day to actually take care of ourselves we can very easily become rundown, burnt out, and just overall stressed. So in honor of my love of self care I wanted to share with you some of my self care favorites of this winter season.
One of the things I absolutely love to do as a part of any self care routine is a face mask. There is something so soothing and relaxing about a face mask, so I always have a few on hand just in case.
I am a firm believer that skincare is self care because our skin is our biggest organ, and unfortunately is often a very external representation of whatever we are dealing with on the inside. Having said that, especially in winter, taking time out to care for our skin is a must, and making sure to moisturize is one of the biggest ways to do that.
Candles/ Oil Diffuser
I am a huge candle lover, and a recent oil diffuser lover, but really anything that smells goods and can help set me in a good mood is great.
With it being winter there is something so nice about a cozy or fuzzy pair of socks to throw on, and just cuddle up by the fire, and enjoy the night.
Cup Of Tea & A Cute Mug
Probably my second favorite thing on this list is enjoying a nice hot cup of tea in a cute mug. I don’t know what it is but I find it so relaxing. And the whole point of a self care routine is to help you relax, right?
In my opinion there are very little things that beat a hot shower or a nice warm bath, so this had to make it on my list of self care favorites, especially when it is cold outside.
