Oh sweet goodness do I love a good affirmation. If you have been around the blog, in my Facebook group (Fully Empowered Female Badasses), or been a client of mine then you know that I am a huge fan of affirmations and their power to change your life and mindset. You might be wondering what an affirmation is if you have never heard of them or used them before. Essentially an affirmation is a mantra or phrase that you repeat to yourself with a desired outcome. For example if you are struggling with self love or feeling worthy you might choose to tell yourself daily “I am worthy, loved, and enough.”
Affirmations are a great way to overcome or change limiting beliefs and thought patterns. By repeating these phrases to yourself you are almost tricking your subconscious into believing them and overtime your subconscious will start to believe what you are telling yourself, and eventually those thoughts will become your conscious thoughts. Your thoughts are your power, and if you are practicing positive self take and compassion with yourself you will start to see an effect on your mindset. The key to affirmations lies in their repetition because the more you say them the more you will start to believe them. After all the person you listen to most in this world is yourself so why not fill your mind with positive, uplifting, and affirming things. The whole point of affirmation is to help affirm a certain thought or idea into your mind.
