It seems to me that many young people and especially young women are often lacking any sense of car care, but more specifically lacking an emergency car care kit. I am a huge proponent of everyone having some basic car care knowledge, but especially having a kit for emergencies. Many people don’t seem to know what they should keep in their car for if/when a problem arises, so I wanted to take today to let y’all know what I consider the top things to keep in your car in case a problem were to occur. I mean come on no one wants to get stranded on the side of the road with a broken down car. 1. A jack and a spare tire. This is absolutely essential especially because a flat tire is one of the most common car problems you may face. 2. A tire pressure gauge. Again this can be a saving grace when it comes to preventing flat tires because if you start to think there may be a problem with your tires you can use the pressure gauge to get a glimpse into if something is really wrong. 3. A flashlight. As far as I am concerned there is never a bad time to have a flashlight, but when it comes to your car it can be great thing to have especially if anything happens to your car at night. 4. Paperwork. Paperwork is kind of a broad topic, but I phrase it that way intentionally because it really depends on your needs. In my opinion everyone should have the number for a reliable tow truck, their insurance and registration paperwork, their car manual, and information for a reputable repair shop. The point is that having all of these things with you in your car, can hopefully help you should something go wrong, and you need to address it.
