Hello darlings I hope all is well in your lives, today I thought I would share a little bit more about myself so pull up a seat, grab, comfy blanket, and a cup of tea for Sunday Story Time full of embarrassing moments in my life.
Today I thought I would share a lovely little gem from my first semester of my freshman year of college. You see I was that freshman who thought that I had to get to class really early, especially the first week, so that I could get settled and ready to go. I mean after all in was my first week in college, and my first ever college classes. The way I saw it better safe than sorry. Show up early, get a good seat, make sure I have time to go to the bathroom, and be ready for class to start. Also it doesn’t hurt to try and make a good first impression. But see getting there early was where the problem started.
You see I had signed up for a class that wasn’t exactly a freshmen kind of class, Behavioral Neuroscience, which ended up being really interesting, but it meant that I was probably going to be the only freshman. I figured since I was going to be the only first year getting there early would be in my best bet, so I legitimately left my dorm room like 20 or so minutes before I needed to be in class. I ended up sitting in an empty room jus waiting and waiting for people to show up. Now that would have been so bad except when people did start showing up everyone looked at me really weird. I mean I knew I was an underclassmen compared to most of them, but it was more than that. I remember the girl sitting next to me leaning over, and asking me what class I thought this was only to find out I was in the wrong classroom the entire time. She was super nice about it, considering I was in a senior seminar class instead of where I was supposed to be. Turns out that was why everyone kept eyeing me. They didn’t recognize me, and since that class was supposed to be only senior psychology majors they were all wondering who the heck I was. Suffice it to say I am glad I ended up getting there early because I had to race to the right classroom which ended up being in some dark corner classroom in the basement. But I definitely learned the lesson of double checking the room numbers for all of my classes beforehand, for the rest of my four years. I honestly would have been even more embarrassed and mortified had the senior not obviously taken pity on me, instead of laughing, so for that I can at least be thankful she felt bad for the poor lost freshman.
Do you have any really embarrassing moments that you would like to share, believe me we all have them, so don’t worry? I would love to hear about them.
