If you have been around the blog for a while, then you know how important mindset is to me. I am a firm believer that if you are constantly working on your mindset, and introducing positive habits into your life, that you will be better equipped to handle the ups and downs that life will undoubtedly throw at you. So in honor of that philosophy, so to speak, I wanted to share with you ladies a few positive habits that I have implemented into my life, that have without a doubt positively affected my mindset and thoroughly changed my life.
gratitude: Something that is newer for me is the idea of practicing gratitude everyday. If you have heard some of my story then you know that life hasn’t always been kind to me, so practicing gratitude hasn’t always been very high on my list of to do’s, but that has since changed. I realized that I need to be thankful for what I do have in order to be ready to receive more.
journaling: Again not something that I used to be a fan of, but I think for me I just had to figure out how to journal in my own style. Having said that getting out your thoughts can be an extremely cathartic experience, and I highly recommend it.
meditation: Now I recognize that this one might not be for everyone, but I swear by it. Meditation or any kind of breath work really when I am stressed, in pain, anxious, or just feeling off has proved so beneficial. I don’t know all of the science behind it, but I can say that is has helped tremendously with my overall energy and mood.
cut out complaining: This is one I am embarrassed to admit, but I recently realized that I complain a lot. I was journaling about habits that I want to get rid of, and for some reason my history of complaining popped into my head, and I knew that was the next thing I needed to work on. So, I am taking a more conscious look everyday at how I am speaking.
