Well hello there my darlings. I hope you are all having a fabulous day today. As a plus size woman myself I know first hand how hard it can be sometimes to find fashionable clothing that actually fits, and is made well, so when I heard that Loft was coming out with a plus size line I about hit the ceiling. One of my best friends worked at Loft for years, so I have spent some time in their stores to say the least, but I have to admit it can be pretty discouraging when you can’t fit the clothes of a particular store. I know I am personally very happy that more brands are realizing that women come in all shapes and sizes, and need to make clothes accordingly. So today I thought I would share will all of you some of my top picks from Loft’s plus size collection.
Ok so can we just address how absolutely adorable this polka dot midi skirt is. I love how the pattern is the perfect size, not to be too overwhelming, and it hits just at the knee so it is perfect to wear across the seasons. I am not a huge skirt person most of the time, but when I do wear one I love a nice mid-length one that I can wear when the weather starts to get cooler too.
I am a huge fan of any kind of ankle pant, chinos, cigarette pants, you name it I love them. There is something so flattering about the cut of them; they literally flatter any body style. These skinny ankle pants are no different they are a deep blue shade with slimming lines, and hit at just the right spot on the ankle.
Like I said I am not a huge skirt person, but the minute I saw this pull on pencil skirt I fell in love. I guess I have a thing for a good midi skirt, especially pencils skirts, and this one is so versatile you could wear it with anything. I am a huge fan of having pieces that are multi-functional or can be styled in different ways. Not to mention doesn’t it look super comfortable, who doesn’t love a something that is both fashionable and comfortable.
WOW! Honestly that was my first thought when I saw this dress. I should preface by saying that I am really not a fan of yellow, and you are lucky to find any in my wardrobe, but there was something about this eyelet sleeve wrap dress that just grabbed me. The color is gorgeous and the eyelet detail is just perfect. As a tall woman I find it hard sometimes to find dresses that hit at the right length, and don’t come off too short, but this looks like the perfect length. And the wrap cut is super flattering and is the perfect dress cut for any body type.
Now I love a floral as much as the next person, but I tend to like smaller more delicate floral patters, but this tropical tie waist midi shirtdress stole my heart. It is such a beautiful pattern, and the design of the cut is super flattering, and perfect for spring or a summer evening.
This petaled ruffle tie neck top looks like the perfect everyday summer top, and I am loving it. The color is perfect to go with any outfit, and could easily transition from spring/summer into fall.
Stop the presses, and take us back to the 1990s! I swear when I saw this button down denim skirt that’s exactly what I thought of. It made me want to go out and buy a. pair of jelly shoes, throw on a black choker necklace, and blast my Backstreet Boys CD. I love the button detail down the front, and who doesn’t love the idea of a nice denim skirt.
Hold the phone, do these jeans not look like the most comfortable thing in the world. These cuffed skinny cropped jeans make the models curves look like they could go for days. These look the kind of jeans that make you wanna shake what your mama gave ya, if you know what I mean, haha. But in all honestly they look super complimentary to her body, and the dark classic indigo wash is just perfect. I am a sucker for a good dark wash jean.
Now if you have read my about me page then you probably know that I have a deep affection with the color black, and a black dress is by far at the top of my list. When I saw this floral embroidered flutter swing dress I immediately wanted to buy it. The embroidery detail on the end of the sleeves is the perfect accent on the simple but perfect for everyday little black dress.
Ok this is the last skirt I promise (haha), but this sailor shift skirt, is absolutely adorable. It has the perfect nautical meets Parisienne element to it that I just love. I mean don’t you just love it? I just just imagine it with a little stripped top, and a red beret, yes cliche I know, but still super cute.
Let me know what some of your favorites from Loft are, and if you are looking forward to buying anything from the Plus Size Collection.
