Hello darlings today I wanted to come on by and share with y’all one of my favorite things… Podcasts! If you don’t know what podcasts are girl where have you been, no I am just kidding, but in all seriousness podcasts have become my jam lately. So today I wanted to share with y’all some of my favorite podcasts, specifically podcasts that I think are super great for young women to listen to, though men can obviously get things out of it too. All of these are the kind of thing that when you listen you feel like you are actually getting something out of it, and as far as I am concerned if I am taking the time out of my day to listen to or to do something then it better for heck be worth it. I better be getting something out of it, that is going to better me as a person, so I can assure you these podcasts are not just fluff (not that that doesn’t have its time and place) they are going to feed you in some way. So stay tuned and let me introduce you to some of these lovely podcasts, and feel free to let me know some of your favorite podcasts because I would love to listen to them.
- Anna Faris Is Unqualified
Oh sweet goodness y’all this podcast is the perfect combo for funny, real, and honest, and within legitimately a few minutes of listening to my first of her podcasts I was hooked. She covers real questions and real problems, and I mean stuff really gets real, but I think that is sometimes what we all need. A good dose of reality. She may think she is unqualified to give advice to her listeners, but I don’t know if anyone is ever really qualified in this life, but I think she does an incredible job being honest and open.
- Skimm’d from The Couch
I think this is such a unique podcasts especially for young women because each podcast these two lovely ladies interview a power boss lady (yes I made that term up what about it) about what it is really like to be a powerful women in her industry, and the truth about what that means; the good, bad, and the ugly. I think it is something really interesting to listen to because you get to hear the advice that these women give about how they got to the top of their careers, which as young women who is always thinking about her career is amazing. I mean it is literally like being able to sit down over a cup of coffee with each of these women that you would never be able to hear from otherwise.
- Oprah’s Super Soul Conversations
Ok guys it’s Oprah I mean come on you know it is going to be great just by that. I would literally listen to her read my grocery list, and it would probably be the most profound thing I had ever heard. I think it is probably what I imagine sitting on Oprah’s couch and just talking would be like. She and her guests open up about life and all of its ups and downs, and the lessons that can be learned from those, and I always love hearing other people’s truths because I think that is where we learn so much about other people and ourselves.
- Off The Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe
For any of you who know The Bachelor or The Bachelorette then you may be familiar with the lovely Kaitlyn Bristowe from the show. I immediately fell in love with Kaitlyn when I saw her on the show because she is such a raw, funny, and open human who just puts it all out there for the world to see which I appreciate greatly. Most of the time she doesn’t really have a theme, and I am ok with that because listening to her is like having a chat with your best friend about whatever you want.
- The Goal Digger Podcast
Now this podcast may not be for everyone, but I urge you to at least give it a try. Jenna Kutcher, the podcaster, talks all things business, marketing, girl boss life, and how all of those intersect each other. She is super open about her life and her struggles. She talks about what it is like to be the breadwinner in her marriage; the mistakes she has made in her business; what it means to be a strong woman, and everything in between. It is a great real life meets productivity podcast.
I hope that at least one of these podcasts will resonate with you, and give back to you in some way, so go ahead and check out some podcasts and see what you find. You never know you may discover something that you didn’t know you needed to hear.
