Recently I have noticed that my skin has been having more dry patches lately, and had become very accustomed to the skincare products I was using, so the past few months I have been experimenting with different skincare products to see what works best on my skin. Suffice it so say I have found some real gems lately, and I wanted to share with you. Now I should preface by saying that I have truly combination skin; some areas are dry, some are more oily, and some are down right normal. I guess you could say I have a little bit of everything going on with my skin.
My favorite scrub as of late has been the St. Ives Apricot Scrub. Not only is it super cheap, and can be found at the drugstore, but it is made with natural exfoliants so it doesn’t have any harmful beads or more chemical exfoliants. I am a huge fan of this scrub too because it is gentle enough to use everyday, but strong enough to really fluff off the dead skin and grim of the day; not to mention it smells like delicious apricots. I would highly recommend this for any skin type, but I would recommend if you have sensitive skin to not use a scrub everyday for fear that it may irritate your skin too much.
One thing new I have been trying is using more facial oils, which to be honest is something I have normally steered away from in an attempt to not make my skin any more oily, but boy was I wrong. Facial oils can be great for any and all skin types even oily skin, if used properly. My favorite oil of the moment has been the Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil, which can be used on your face and even your hair. This oil left my skin feeling smooth, moisturized, and super hydrated without feeling greasy or too oily. I was new to this brand, so I actually bought a sample pack from their website, which I highly recommend you try. They have a great deal where you only pay shipping on the order, which is incredible.
Lately my go to cleanser has been the Garner SkinActive The Gentle Sulfate- Free Cleanser, and y’all I love this cleanser so much. Now I will be the first to admit that I may or may not cleanse my face everyday… I know I know, but I am only human and sometimes I just use a face wipe, but when I do cleanse this is what I use. Not only does it remove every ounce of dirt, grim, and makeup, but it does so so gently and without nasty and drying sulfates.
One of the other skincare products I received in my Biossance sample pack was the Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer, and I cannot say enough good things about this moisturizer. Not only does it leave my skin feeling moisturized, hydrated, and feeling refreshed, but it smells delicious, and contains so many ingredients that are good for your skin. I mean come on why wouldn’t you want to use a product that is basically feeding your skin yummy nutrients.
The last product I want to talk about it my go to pamper myself face mask, and that is the Formula 10.0.6 Get Your Glow On Skin Brightening Peel Off Mask with Papaya and Citrus. I had never tried a peel off mask prior to using this one, and honestly I must have been living under a rock because peel off masks are the greatest thing since sliced bread, and not to mention they are fun to peel off. This mask not only smells absolutely divine, but it leaves my skin feeling hydrated, tightened, and truly glowing from within; which I mean come on don’t we all want that glowy skin.
If you have tried out any of these products or if you want to share what your current favorite skincare products are I would love for you to comment below or message me on social media because I am always looking for recommendations for new products.
