Now don’t get me wrong I love affordable beauty products, and a good bargain just as much if not more than the next girl, but we all know that there are some products that are just so good that they are worth the budget splurge. I am a big fan of getting your money’s worth no matter how much you are spending. Whether it is a $5 eye shadow or a $50 eye shadow. If I feel like the product is worth the cost than I am more likely to want to fork over some cash. Today I wanted to share with y’all 5 beauty products that I swear by, and firmly believe are worth their heftier price tag.
I have to give a huge shout out to Charlotte Tilbury and her entire line. I have been a huge Charlotte fan for years since I first started seeing Fashion Week backstage videos of her work, so when she came out with her own line I about passed out. I mean I have yet to find a product from her that I don’t love, which in my opinion is a testament to not only her talent but also her knowledge of all things in beauty industry. No I am not sponsored by any means, but I do genuinely love her products. Her eye shadow quads are some of the best I have tried. They are ridiculously pigmented and apply so smooth. They are super finely milled, last all day on the lid, and come on her packaging is incredible.
Another one of my favorite Charlotte products are her lipsticks. My favorite is Night Crimson, which is the most beautiful deep burgundy oxblood type color. I wore it for the first time in my best friend’s wedding, and immediately fell in love. Her lipsticks are insanely pigmented but so easy to apply, and they have great staying power. Because of how long lasting they are I was worried that they would be drying, but they are the farthest from drying. They are super smooth, and leave your lips feeling like you have nothing on them, and as someone who tends to be less lipstick inclined that is amazing.
If you have been reading the blog for a while you may have heard me talk about this one before because it is by far my favorite perfume. I will admit that it is quite pricey, but I firmly believe that it is worth the price. It is an absolutely beautiful rose scent made from a combination of carefully selected varieties of roses; that lasts all day, but it is also so unique, fresh, and classic. You really can’t go wrong with it.
I’m just going to put it out there I think MAC’s Face and Body is by far one of the best foundations for a natural more skin like look. It comes in a ridiculous number of colors, provides a good amount of light to medium coverage, but is definitely buildable. I also love it because it is a water-based foundation that thickens up as you work with it which helps you add more cover. If you are someone looking for a great everyday foundation that looks like your skin but better then I would recommend giving this one a shot.
This one is actually a newer discovery for me. Recently my hairdresser used it on me, and oh sweet goodness did it work wonders. I have very fine hair that is super almost baby hair soft, so my hair has trouble holding a style and can get very staticy if I am not careful. This texture spray actually kept curls in my hair for almost TWO DAYS; guys let me tell you there was probably a greater chance of me winning the lottery than having that happen, but it did. Not only that, but it kept my static at bay, and all without feeling stiff, sticky, or gritty. And for some one with hair like mine, despite the price, it is absolutely worth it.
