Let me start simply with two things thank you and I’m sorry. Thank you for being such an inspiration to so many. Your passion and dedication were unmatched, and the world is all the better for having had you in it. You brought so much joy and light into the world, and made so many happy and smile. Secondly I would like to apologize. I want to apologize for at times only seeing the beauty you bestowed upon the world, and not questioning what may lie deeper. They say those who laugh the most and give the world its beauty are often the ones who face their own darkness. I am sorry your darkness stole such a beautiful person from the world. The only good I can hope for is that like your designs brought light and beauty into the world that your struggles will bring hope and discussions. Discussions about how to better be there for those we share our lives with, better discussions about mental health, and better discussions with the ones we love. My hope is the legacy you built will continue in the hearts and minds of everyone you touched. You created more than just handbags, more than just a brand, even more than an empire, you created joy and light, and as far as I am concerned the world could use more of that, so thank you.
