Hello my dears! Today’s blog post is going to be a bit different. For today I wanted to encourage you or rather challenge you to practice a week of self care. Each day I want you to practice one type of self care for six days, and then on the seventh day I want you to reflect on how you feel after taking a week to work on yourself. Try journaling on how it has made you feel, and what it has taught you.
There are six types of self care that I want you to focus on. Physical self care, emotional self care, spiritual self care, social self care, personal self care, and practical self care. Physical self care refers toy our basic physical needs like showering and eating; things that make your body feel good. Emotional self care relates o how you process your emotions in a healthy way. Do you have a high emotional iq with the ability to actually feel your emotions, while developing good coping mechanisms for the things that trouble you. Spiritual self care are activities in which you discover your own belief systems, seek community, and learn new things i.e. meditation or going to church. Social self care revolves around getting social interactions, creating boundaries, and working on your own relationships with other people. In contract personal self care refers to activities you initiate to try and get to know yourself better like trying new things and spending time alone. Practical self care is probably the category that most people forget about, and those are things that aren’t fun but we have to do because they are practical like work or chores.
So what I want you to do is practice one of these forms of self care each day for six days, and then reflect your little butt off.
